Hive Colab is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Media and Brand Associate to support the program’s communications and visibility strategy. This role is responsible for producing compelling multimedia content that showcases the impact of our accelerator, highlights startup journeys, and enhances brand presence across all communication channels. The ideal candidate is a skilled visual storyteller with a keen eye for design and a deep understanding of how to create engaging content for digital audiences.Key Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality photographs and video footage during workshops, events, field visits, and startup showcases.
- Produce and edit multimedia content including videos, reels, social media clips, promotional videos, and short documentaries that communicate program impact and startup stories.
- Design digital and print graphics (flyers, brochures, banners, pitch decks) in line with Hive Colab’s brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Communications Lead to ensure consistency in messaging, branding, and visual presentation across all platforms.
- Maintain an organized and regularly updated library of multimedia assets, ensuring content is catalogued for easy retrieval and use.
- Assist in planning and executing post-event communications, including highlight reels, recap videos, and media kits.
- Support social media management by creating content calendars, designing posts, and scheduling content across platforms.
- Liaise with startups to support their individual branding and media needs, where relevant, especially for Demo Days or showcases.
- Ensure ethical and consent-based media collection, particularly when capturing images of learners or vulnerable populations.
- Assist in media outreach and coverage planning, including preparing press kits, liaising with media houses, and supporting earned media opportunities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Production, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in photography, videography, and multimedia content creation.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop) or Canva and other design tools.
- Strong video editing, animation, and graphic design skills.
- Experience creating content for social media and online campaigns.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to uphold brand standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
