The Finance Lead will be responsible for financial oversight and management of a multi-year accelerator program. This includes budgeting, grant disbursements, financial reporting, compliance, and audit readiness. The role ensures that financial operations are efficient, transparent, and aligned with donor and internal requirements.Key Responsibilities
- Manage program budgets, forecasts, and expenditure tracking in coordination with the Program Director.
- Oversee the disbursement of milestone-based grant capital to ventures, ensuring accountability and compliance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal use and donor reporting.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, donor guidelines, and statutory requirements.
- Support procurement planning and vendor payments, ensuring value for money and cost efficiency. Facilitate external and internal audits and address any financial risks identified.
- Build capacity of program staff and startups on financial processes where needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA/ACCA certification preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in finance or grant management, preferably within donor-funded programs.
- Proven track record in managing multi-year budgets and reporting for complex programs.
- Strong understanding of financial compliance, grant administration, and procurement procedures.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
